I notice how often I forget to pray/ give thanks too many times till I’m left alone. Whether in the shower, on the train ride home, or on a plane, whenever I’m trapped with my own thoughts for a certain amount of time - I then remember “I hadn’t said thank you in a while.” 

Thank you for my health. Thank you for yesterday and today. Thank you for the lessons. Thank you for the patience. Thank you for a mother and a father. Thank you for giving me and everyone I care about another day. Thank you for a roof and a bed. Thank you carrying me this far. Thank you for keeping me safe when I’m scared. Thank you for watching my back. Thank you for sparing my uncle. Thank you for love. Thank you for life. Thank you for another chance to become a better person every day.
